Beryl Harrell, a pioneering female pedal steel guitar player, who’s career spans the 1940s-1960’s. Harrell played mostly Hawaiian and Country Western swing music. Paul Rickenbacker even designed a double-neck steel guitar for her, which she would go on to master. Unfortunately, for this unsung heroine her life came to a tragic end but her legacy & trail-blazing of the pedal steel guitar live on.
